In partnership with AVSI Foundation under the Dutch-funded Skilling in Agripreneurship for increased Youth Employment (SAY) programme, Venture Citi embedded its Financial Management Platform into the operations of 14 agribusinesses across Uganda, aggregators working across poultry, dairy, horticulture, and coffee value chains serving as anchor points for thousands of smallholder farmers and youth agripreneurs.

The SAY programme skilled over 17,000 youth in agricultural value chains. Venture Citi's role was to ensure the businesses at the centre of this ecosystem had the financial infrastructure to match their growing scale. Through AgriVault™, we provided business process training and cloud-based financial digitalization, helping aggregators reduce financial risk, track transactions accurately, and produce reports aligned with development finance requirements.

Through the E4Impact Accelerator Project, an action-oriented programme funded by the Italian Agency for Development Co-operation, Venture Citi trained and equipped 30 growth-stage businesses in Kenya and Uganda with the financial management skills and cloud tools they needed to move from promising ventures to bankable enterprises.

E4Impact's accelerator provides customised training, market and investor linkages, and mentorship across a 12-month journey. Venture Citi contributed the business systems layer: ensuring each accelerated enterprise could demonstrate clean financial records, functioning cloud accounting processes, and the digital literacy to sustain them long after programme end. Because no investor relationship lands if a business can't show the books.

In collaboration with COWA Uganda, the Companionship of Works Association, an impact-driven NGO with over 35 years of experience that has reached more than 165,000 youth and women across Uganda, Venture Citi is currently delivering financial training and cloud software onboarding to Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs).

COWA's VSL groups bring women together to save, lend, and invest collectively, setting their own interest rates, managing loans internally, and sharing profits at each cycle's end. CommonWealth Ledger™ moves these groups from handwritten registers to structured digital records, reducing errors, improving cycle transparency, and positioning members for future access to formal financial services.
